ESEA Invite S4 Week 6 Melee
News
2009-09-23 at 11:58 AM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

ESEA's new map, de_lite_rc2, makes its league play debut in week six.

This week in ESEA Invite the top American teams will be competing on de_lite_rc2. This is the new map that ESEA has created and it will be the first time it has been used in match play. The new map is a fairly small one, and should play with a very fast pace. It should be very interesting to see which teams will put in the needed time on this map and see what kind of tactics they will come up with. It should be exciting to see how this map plays out as a whole.

zet and Begrip to MYM
News
2009-09-23 at 11:57 AM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

mYm comes back after a hiatus by picking up Marcus "zet" Sundstrom and the former Begrip.swe.

Meet Your Makers, one of the most popular gaming organizations in the past few years, have come back after a few months off by picking up Begrip's Sweden Counter-Strike squad. When most people hear the MYM name, they think of their former polish team that consisted of Neo, TaZ, Loord, LUq, and kuben. This team is now known as WICKED. As of September 20th the new face of MYM is the Begrip.swe squad plus Marcus "zet" Sundstrom.

The original Begrip roster consisted of moddiii, pita, hibb, zneel and JAEGARN. Due to internal conflicts with zneel leaving for SK and JAEGARN not being able to attend certain events caused Begrip to acquire Jumpy and Delpan to replace them. In the past few months this roster has been known in Sweden and all of Europe as one of the top tier teams. Begrip recently lost to Fnatic at WCG Sweden in the Semi-Finals failing to qualify, but turned things around with a 1st place finish in the IOL Season 4 beating out SK and H2k in the finals. They also just won the ESL Extreme Masters Swedish Qualifiers with a win against wooSai.

Long time Begrip member hibb had to call it quits with the team do to work commitments which drew in former SK and NiP superstar, zet, into the squad. After being let go from SK-Gaming due to "missing flights", zet was teamless and it wasn't long before he was scooped up by one of Sweden's top tier teams. Some people question zet's commitment to the game and if he still has the skill to compete against the top teams and MYM feels he does.

MYM management had this to say about zet: "However, we do think that Sundstrom still has the potential, motivation and power to prove himself, and the new MYM team as a whole, that is of course the reason we have recruited him."

EG and Loaded highlight ESEA Invite Week 5 on de_cpl_mill

This week in ESEA Invite the top American teams will be competing on de_cpl_mill. This is a map that has had many memorable highlights in the past from old CPL's that we haven't got to see played in a long time. The teams have been playing the map de_tuscan that CEVO made a few seasons ago which is basically mill with a couple added things to it. This will be interesting to see these guys play this map again after not playing it in such a long time.

The featured match this week will be EG versus Loaded. EG is currently 8-0 and coming off a win at GameGune Mexico. They will be looking to continue the success they have had over the first 4 weeks of the season. Loaded, while only completing half of their matches and having a 3-2 record, is easily one of the top teams in North America. Look for them to put up a good fight in this match.

Counter-Strike: NoPression becomes Frag Dominant.ca
News
2009-09-18 at 5:10 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

With gaming organizations like Blight and Complexity maintaining two CS 1.6 rosters, it doesn't come as a surprise to see following gaming giant Frag Dominant following suit and acquiring the core of NoPression.

NoPression recently reformed to try and bring back one of Canada's most successful 1.6 teams and was on track until they met the newcomers to the top of the Canadian 1.6 Scene. They fell to Blight.ca 2-0 in a best-of-three battle at WCG Canada. Shrugging that off and continuing their run in ESEA-M, it seemed like it was only a matter of time until someone gave them an offer and that someone was Frag Dominant.

After being approached, NoPression was told that it would have to part ways with two of its players, Maleck "paNda" Picard and Alex "Revolt" Fiorani. Maleck has chosen to pursue a career in the Army while Alex is focusing on his studies at the University. Stepping up to fill the void we will be seeing the return of Rene "ronieh" Nepveu and Philippe "kuby" Auclair.

Counter-Strike: MoB adds d1versity with changes
News
2009-09-18 at 5:10 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

MoB has announced today that they have picked up current ESEA-Invite team d1versity. MoB has been moving in the shadows after with only a Call of Duty 4 division after the departure of their CS team almost a year ago.

MoB currently sits in the median of ESEA-Invite with a 4-3 record with some impressive wins against teams like Excello and Blight. MoB started out the season with a local west coast lineup, the same lineup they won ESEA-Main Season 3 with, but have made some changes as of late.

Along with the move to the MoB organization, d1versity also made some key roster changes. They have welcomed Dustin "dizzman" Dilyerd and David "Xp3" Garrido. Both Xp3 and dizzaman are from Blight.USA, now known as Ruins, which fits perfectly because their roster of late has basically been in ruins. Former d1versity players KRETSIM and spectro are currently teamless, and Siejim2 joined up with Ruins. With the additions of dizzaman and Xp3, two top ESEA-Invite players, and the backing of a professional organization, MoB looks to make a lot of noise this season.

Vincent "TheGodFather" Pagliano, MoB Gaming Owner, had this to say about the new team: "I am just happy to be back in 1.6 with a guy I trust like Noah. I am ready to support them to the fullest."
