2009-09-18 at 5:01 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

Just hours after an early exit at the Summer Asus Cup 2009, DTS.Chatrix sees roster changes with the removal of two players.

The two players exiting the team will be Kiril "ANGE1" Karasiow and former captain Ivan "Johnta" Shevcov.

The two players were removed due to poor attitudes and poor results according to DTS management.

With the removal of two players so close to the Ukrainian National WCG Finals it is unclear whether or not the team will still participate

Counter-Strike: Adrenaline removed from Gravitas
News
2009-09-18 at 5:00 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

Today, a roster that has been in the top three CS teams in the United States has made another change.

Not too long ago, Gravitas.CS picked up Paul "Adrenaline" Baker to replace Shaun "Hostile" Catron as he was going inactive. It was announced earlier today that the team will be switching out Paul "Adrenaline" Baker for Joe "perez" Perez. Perez is formally of Grid05 and 00(Back2Back).

Many have speculated that the Gravitas.CS roster had broken up due to Adrenaline and IMPULSIVE untagging and re-tagging for other organizations. It has been cleared up that the only roster change will be the replacement of Baker.

Adrenaline has moved on and joined the FragDominant roster. FragDominant has a recently new roster that consists of many west coast players, a team that is better suited for Adrenaline.

Counter-Strike: Mouz wins IEM4 Supercup Cologne
News
2009-09-18 at 4:58 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

In a surprise turn of events, tournament favorites fnatic fell out of the tournament in the first round losing to German giants Mousesports in straight maps 16-10, 16-10. This set the finals up for a surprise as there would be no Swedish team as SK lost to mTw in three maps including a double overtime on the third map.

Coming into the finals Mouz won the first map de_nuke with ease after a strong 9-6 Terrorist side they were able to win the map 16-6 on the back of 1v4 and 1v5 clutches by cyx and new comer cash.

After losing the third map mTw was able to select the second map, they chose de_train. After struggling as Terrorists and only picking up four rounds, mTw came out with a dominating CT side including an eco ace by MJE and took the map 16-13.

The third map would be Mousesports' choice and it would fall on the classic CS map, de_dust2. Mouz took the first pistol round on their Terrorist side but only managed to win the half 8-7. mTw took the second pistol allowing them to take the lead 10-8. Once again it would be cash pulling off a massive 4k to hold B who would turn the tides in favor of Mouz giving them back the lead at 12-11. Latching on to the momentum created by cash, Mouz closed out the map 16-13 after forcing mTw to deagle on the final round.

Taking advantage of the home field so to speak, Mousesports was able to win the first event of the Extreme Masters Season 4, perhaps setting the tone for the rest of the season. Stunning fnatic in straight maps and taking mTw 2-1 to win the event Mouz certainly looked like a force to be reckoned with.

Counter-Strike: TyLoo Captures WCG China
News
2009-09-18 at 4:58 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

The home crowd now has two more reasons to be excited as both TyLoo and wnv.cn qualify for the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in Chengdu, China starting in mid November this year.

After being knocked down into the lower portion of bracket play by wnv.cn early on, TyLoo was able to storm their way back and reach the Grand Finals match of the qualifier against the same team. After some good matches, TyLoo proved to be too much as their hot streak continued and they took the finals 2-0 to claim their spot as China's main representative at the Grand Finals.

TyLoo is best known to the casual CS fan for their involvement in the eStars King of CS Tournament where they took maps from mTw and k23, while also displaying plenty of skill against the likes of SK and fnatic.

With the home teams set, the Chinese fans will look for these two highly skilled teams to upset the World and keep the Gold in China.

1. China TyLoo (qualified for WCG Grand Finals)
2. China wnv.cn (qualified for WCG Grand Finals)
3. China Lvyun
4. China wnv.gm

Also for all the Warcraft III fans out there, the three qualifiers for the Grand Finals have also been set and are as follows.

Today in Cologne, Germany, the Intel Extreme Masters Season 4 will kick off with what is being called the Supercup. The Supercup, which is smaller than a traditional tournament features only four invited teams. The teams invited to this event are none other than fnatic, SK, mTw, and Mousesports.

The teams will be competing in a single elimination best of three bracket with the winners taking home a nice prize purse. Unfortunately there will be no HLTV for the event and there will only be a stream courtesy of ESL. The stream can be found here.

News
2009-09-18 at 4:56 PM - BoRn`_2`_KiLl`

Just a month ago, ESL announced 71 nominees in 12 different categories ranging from Player of the Year to Scene Journalist of the Year for their 2009 eSports Awards. Just yesterday the winners for each award were announced to the public.

The biggest award went to none other than fnatic's Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund who came into the team earlier in the year and has been a major factor in their complete dominance of everything CS. It was also no surprise that fnatic was able to take home the award for eSports team of the year by winning almost every event they've attended.

Also taking home some of the bigger awards this year were Warcraft III player of the year Manuel "Grubby" Schenkhuizen, who just recently finished 2nd at Blizzcon, and WCIII player Pedro Moreno 'LucifroN' Durán who was able to snatch up Newcomer / Breakthrough Player of the Year.

Below is a list of all nominees with winners marked in bold text.
